At this point in 6 days I'll be most of the way through the New Orleans marathon. Tomorrow is my last day with running and then I'll truly enjoy the taper phase of things.
Still to do:
- Mile dedications
- Travel coordination down to New Orleans
- Travel bag
Weather for race day is isolated thunderstorms with a high of 73. Quite a departure from New Hampshire with weather in the teens to the 30s... nothing like trial by fire!

I am so with you every step of the way. Give me one of your last miles and I will be bellowing at you to go through with it, that you can do this, that it does not hurt and that you are a ROCKSTAR!
Whatever the weather, it's a guaranteed PR if you finish. Enjoy the day!!
Too Cool, Dude!!!
Your first marathon. You've prepared and are about to run it.
I will link tomorrow so it can be shared by those that read my blog!
Post as soon as you can after! Any way to track you as you go?

Good luck! I'll be thinking of you! Wish I could be there.
We are excited for you!! New Orleans Marathon.. 3 years ago.. was our first marathon.
That was the last marathon before Katrina.
How great to be able to go now and support that valiant running community.
You are set to go... run like the wind. Best of luck for your whole trip.
Good luck!!!
I ran my first ever in November, so I totally share your excitement!
Carry a little salt packet with you so you for after mile 15 or so. And try not to drink too much water. The worse thing is getting too much liquid into your system where you become nauseas or lightheaded. Start slow, and finish strong. And most of all ENJOY YOURSELF! You made it to the starting line!!!! WOO HOO!!!
