"Well, at least you'll be fit"

As I was stretching in -6F weather (not counting wind chill) last week, this is the actual conversation I had with an older lady who was curious why any human would be outside.

Older Lady (OL): Are you out here to exercise this morning?
Me: Yes, ma'am. Pretty ridiculous out here, isn't it?
OL: You're walking out here?
Me: No, ma'am, I'm running.
OL: Well, at least you'll be fit.
Me: That is if I don't die of frostbite while I'm out here.
OL: Well, at least you'll be fit if you do.

Comforting, eh?

LMAO... not many people understand us voluntarily heading outdoors in this type of weather to "get fit" ... too funny

Well yes, I would rather be fit and dead than unfit and alive anyday. ;)

It's actually kind of refreshing to hear that she didn't just say YOU'RE INSANE!

RSS is amazing, isn't it? I will have to start using it someday. Then I can read other's blogs as quickly as you can!

Funny story, Greg! All the more funny as it is true!

HA! I've had similar conversations with my neighbors who worry that I will die of heatstroke exercising in the heat of day when it's 90+ deg and 90+ humidity. I don't know if I could do what you're doing though in such cold.

I love old people!

"Fit" is where it's at! No matter what the temp is!
